Dieudonne lives in Gbangansou, a village 3 km from Brobo. He attends first grade and is passionate about playing soccer. Following the death of their mother, the siblings' father abandoned his children. Dieudonne and his sister were cared for by their grandmother, but the girl had to move in with her aunt because the eighty-year-old woman, fearing for her own health, could no longer care for the two children. Young Dieudonne helps her with daily activities.

When we arrived for our visit, Rene had to take a moment to find Dieudonne, as he was in the village playing with his friends. The boy is still young, but he looks significantly smaller than his actual age - this is due to malnutrition. His grandmother, due to her advanced age and illness, is unable to support the family. For this reason, the scholarship you funded is incredibly valuable and unique, as until now, we have focused exclusively on children with disabilities and academic talent. During our stay in Côte d'Ivoire, we decided to use some of the funds raised during our fundraiser to purchase food supplies worth approximately 100 euros for Dieudonne and his grandmother.

What particularly impressed us was the boy's extraordinary talent for drawing. Unlike in Poland, this is not a common skill among children in Côte d'Ivoire, as they rarely have access to crayons and stationery.

Dieudonne drew us a postcard. His drawing depicts a mango tree, a mango fruit, a pineapple, a fish, and a chicken. The largest icon depicts a sergeant, as Dieudonne's dream is to become a forester to "protect water and forests."
