Koffi Akissi Céline

Despite her young age, Céline has been enduring the challenges of recurring epileptic seizures and paresis in her right hand for a significant period. Although she used to have seizures on a daily basis, due to the successful treatment, she has not had any for many months. Her conditions are entirely treatable and could undoubtedly be managed to provide Céline with everyday comfort and enable her to function normally.
With just a small amount of assistance, we have the incredible opportunity to perform a genuine miracle and completely transform this young girl's life.

JULY 2025
Progress in Medical Treatment and Ongoing Recovery
Although Céline's seizures have now been almost completely eliminated, she has significant mobility issues. Furthermore, Céline and her family experienced a trauma when little Céline fell on a pot of boiling water on the fire during an epileptic seizure. As a result, Céline has a giant scar on her chest. For aesthetic purposes, her mother covers these marks with baby powder.
The cause of Céline’s motor disability is a fall from a height as an infant, which, among other things, resulted in a severe deformity of her right hand. The scholarship allowed her parents to provide epilepsy treatment with modern medications, which, before the scholarship, had been replaced by traditional, but ineffective, natural remedies. Fortunately, her last seizure was in April.
Céline showed us her favorite game, which also benefits the family. It involves crushing shea tree seeds with stones. This creates an ointment that serves cosmetic purposes. Céline received symbolic toys and a new dress from us.
It's hard to deny that this visit was incredibly moving. When asked about her greatest dream, Céline replied that she "would like to be born normal." We couldn't hold back our tears, because although Céline's body is riddled with disabilities, she is developing normally mentally and is aware of her own "imperfections."
